Accounting

Half your books are already done.

Every order your outlet takes is already in Otter, so sales, tax, service and payment methods post to the journal on their own. You only record what Otter cannot see: rent, salaries, the gas bill and the odd catering job. That is enough for a real P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

What it does

Sales post themselves

Every closed bill from the POS, kiosk, web order and Otter App lands in the journal with its tax, service, discount and payment method. No end of day export, no retyping.

Record expenses in seconds

Rent, salaries, electricity, gas, packaging. Pick a category, enter the amount and how you paid. That is the only half of the books left for you.

Other income too

A catering order, a space rental, a supplier rebate. Add income that did not come through the cashier so your profit tells the whole story.

Profit and loss

See revenue, cost of goods, expenses and net profit for any period, per outlet or all outlets together.

Balance sheet and cash flow

What the business owns, what it owes, and where the cash went this month. Built from the same journal, always in balance.

Budget and export

Set a monthly budget per category and compare it with real spending. Export every report to PDF or Excel for your accountant or the bank.

One month of books, without the bookkeeper overtime

Every day · Sales write themselves

Every day · Sales write themselves

Lunch rush, 140 orders across the kiosk, POS and web order. Each closed bill posts revenue, tax, service and the cash, QRIS or card it was paid with. By closing time the day's sales are already in the journal, and nobody touched a spreadsheet.

Twice a week · Two minutes of expenses

Twice a week · Two minutes of expenses

The gas refill and the electricity bill arrive on the same day. The owner opens Otter, picks the category, types the amount and marks it paid from the bank. Two entries, two minutes, done.

Month end · Three reports, one tap

Month end · Three reports, one tap

On the 1st, the owner opens accounting and the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow for last month are already there. One export to PDF goes to the accountant, another to the bank for the loan review.

Questions

Do I still need to enter my sales?

No. Every order closed in Otter, from the POS, kiosk, web order or Otter App, posts to the journal on its own. You only record expenses and income that did not go through the cashier.

Does it include cost of goods?

Yes. With recipes set up in Inventory Management, every sale also posts its ingredient cost, so your P&L shows real gross margin.

Can I see each outlet separately?

Yes. View every report per outlet or for all outlets together.

Can my accountant use it?

Yes. Export the journal and every report to PDF or Excel.
